Your best work

This is definitely the most well-put-together piece on your portal, but it shows an almost offensive lack of originality and detail. You could be going for abstract, but that's not even clear. It's not new enough to be avante-garde and it's too pretentious and haughty to be considered a good piece of fine art. I'm sorry. You show potential, but you need some serious practice and perhaps a few years of art training.

HeavyTank responds:

This is my best work?
dude...l don't do art for a living, just for fun...

A major stepback in art theory

The lines bring out nothing but a garrish mess from your medium. I see you've been looking into the style of Pollock, but you've missed the subtlety and technique he worked into his paintings. Keep looking into his works and I think you could go places.

HeavyTank responds:

....say what?
I didn't look into the style of pollock, l just made it...
Again, l am not a pro in art, l do it for fun..

Digital art

I have to scoff at how little effort is needed to produce a digital work. Come back to the portal when your strokes and filters aren't available and you have to produce wholly from artistic merit. For real art, I recommend my works. You should learn something about form, texture and composition not only from me but from Michelangelo and other greats. 2 for lack of effort.

HeavyTank responds:

your art is SHIT.
It's probably made in Paint and you talk about digital art being easy?
If you think Digital art is easy you don't know shit about art.
You compare yourself with Michelangelo?
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
THIS IS ABSTRACT, DO YOU HEAR ME?
Also, my art deifinitely requires more time and dedication than your 2-minute drawings...
Get outta here...

Your review

I read your review of my art...you ere saying that it isn't very good so l decided to check out your art....and l saw this.
Dude, anyone can make this, l know it's supposed to be detailed but this is plain ugly.

HeavyTank responds:

pff, somehow l knew that you would come here and review my art...you're just trolling me...nice job.

It's okay.

The line value shows is worth at least a little praise. Other than that, this doesn't do anything for me and probably most people with a few years of art training under their belt. I'd say redo it, but it's probably too late for that. Nice use of tones on the cape.

Good

Just work on foreshortening is all.

A good attempt

I'd try to tighten up your tonality next time.

LaserKarl responds:

Thank you.
I kind of intentionally avoided that in this one though. Trying something a little "out there", trying to get a kind of trippy result that would be hard to achieve otherwise. I guess i could have pointed that out in the desciption.
Thanks for pointing it out to me though.

Going places

It's pretty good. I'd say work on your line value, stroke length, shading, drawing, and form and you might have something here.

A work attaining new heighths

Your work leaves no room for critique. An ambassador to form. You've shown a lot of growth. It would be a tall order to top this. I don't think I could stand to judge this. I'd give a leg to draw like this.

DungeonKirby responds:

Thanks a lot man you make me happy again!

Excellent

I like your use of anthropromorphisization to document man's internal struggle within itself. An insight to the future? A dog race of man? Surely the forms carried in the various media of the visual arts are more expressive than reality itself. This work screams the question: why human? Why this form?

Hellknight1000 responds:

That's pretty deep.

I've read No Logos by Naomi Klein, but it failed to teach me anything I didn't already know. I'll listen to anything but country and rap.
